उत्तर: रजनी ने अमित के मुद्दे को गंभीरता से लिया, क्योंकि

2. जब किसी का बच्चा कमज़ोर होता है, तभी उसके माँ-बाप ट्यूशन लगवाते हैं। अगर लगे कि कोई टीचर लूट रहा है, तो उस टीचर से न ले ट्यूशन, किसी और के पास चले जाएँ... यह कोई मजबूरी तो है नहीं प्रसंग का उल्लेख करते हुए बताएँ कि, यह संवाद आपको किस सीमा तक सही या गलत लगता है, तर्क दीजिए |

उत्तर: रजनी के ट्यूशन रैकेट के बारे में शिकायत करते हुए, शिक्षा निदेशक ने रजनी से बहुत आसानी से कह दिया कि "जब किसी का बच्चा कमज़ोर होता है, तभी उसके माँ-बाप उसे ट्यूशन लगवाते हैं। यदि कभी लगे कि कोई टीचर आपको लूट रहा है, तो उस टीचर से ना ले ट्यूशन, किसी और के पास चले जाएँ..यह कोई मजबूरी तो है नहीं।" शिक्षा निदेशक ने रजनी को जो जवाब दिया वह बहुत गलत और गैर-जिम्मेदाराना है, किसी भी शिक्षा निदेशक का ऐसी बातें कहना निंदनीय है । इस प्रकार अपनी जिम्मेदारियों से दूर भागकर, वे शिक्षकों की गलत नीति और उनके गलत व्यवहार को बढ़ावा दे रहे हैं।

3. तो एक और आंदोलन का मसला मिल गया:  फुसफुसाकर

कही गई यह बात: 

1. किसने किस प्रसंग में कही?

2. इससे कहने वाले की किस मानसिकता का पता चलता है? 

उत्तर: 1. रजनी के पति ने एक पैरेंट मीटिंग के दौरान यह बात कही। रजनी ने अपना भाषण देते समय निजी विद्यालयों के शिक्षकों की समस्याओं का वर्णन किया। कुछ शिक्षकों को अधिक वेतन पर हस्ताक्षर करवा के कम वेतन दिया जाता है। शिक्षकों के साथ हो रहे, इस अन्याय का पर्दाफाश करने के लिए रजनी, उन्हें आंदोलन चलाने की सलाह देती हैं।

2. इसे कहने वाले की मानसिकता सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी के प्रति उदासीनता को दर्शाता है।

4.रजनी धारावाहिक कि इस कड़ी की मुख्य समस्या क्या है? 

क्या होता अगर : 

1. अमित का पर्चा सचमुच खराब होता।

2. संपादक रजनी का साथ न देता।

उत्तर: (क) अगर अमित का पर्चा सचमुच खराब होता, तो ट्यूशन रैकेट का पर्दाफाश नहीं होता।

(ख) यदि संपादक ने रजनी का समर्थन नहीं किया होता तो रजनी की आवाज अनेको लोगों तक नहीं पहुंचती, ना ही लोग इस कड़वे सच को कभी जान पाते और यह नियम कि 'शिक्षक अपने स्कूल के विद्यार्थियों को ट्यूशन नहीं देगा' को मान्यता प्राप्त नहीं होती।

5. गलती करने वाला तो है ही गुनहगार, पर उसे बर्दाश्त करने वाला भी कम गुनहगार नहीं होता इस संवाद के संदर्भ में आप सबसे ज्यादा किसे और क्यों गुनहगार मानते हैं?

उत्तर: गणित के शिक्षक इस संवाद के मामले में सबसे बड़े दोषी हैं, लेकिन ये कहना भी गलत नहीं है कि, जिन छात्रों और उनके माता-पिता ने आंखे बंद करके उनके साथ होने वाले इन अत्याचारों को झेला है, वे भी कम दोषी नहीं हैं। शिक्षक अपने छात्र को ट्यूशन लेने के लिए डराता धमकाता है और न मानने पर  कम अंक देता है, और यदि छात्र इस अन्याय को सहन कर लेता है तो उसे प्रोत्साहना मिलती है। यदि हम चाहें तो, इसका विरोध करके इसे दबाया जा सकता है और इस दबाब से भरे शिक्षा नीति से छुटकारा पाया जा सकता है। अगर देखा जाए तो दोनों को दोष दिया जाना चाहिए: पहला शिक्षक जो जबरन ट्यूशन देते हैं, और ना लेने पर छात्रों के साथ बुरा व्यवहार करतें है,और दूसरा ट्यूशन और शिक्षकों को बढ़ावा देने वाले छात्र और उनके माता-पिता भी इसके बराबर के दोषी हैं।

6. स्त्री के चरित्र की बनी बनाई धारणा से, रजनी का चेहरा किन मायनों में अलग है?

उत्तर: रजनी आम महिलाओं सी नही है,वह उनसे अलग है, वह अन्य महिलाओं की तरह चुप चाप सिर्फ सुनती नही है, वह बहादुर है, अन्याय का विरोध करती है। हमारे आस पास, गांव समाज में  जो धारणा है, उसके अनुसार महिलाएं बहुत शक्तिहीन और डरपोक होती हैं, वे  अन्याय का विरोध नहीं करती  और संघर्षों से दूर रहती हैं। रजनी इन सब के विपरीत है, एक संघर्षशील और निडर वक्ति, जो हर स्त्री के लिए एक मिशाल है। वह अपने सामने होने वाले किसी भी अन्याय को सहन नहीं कर सकती। उसके पति द्वारा गलती करने पर वह उसे भी डांट लगा देती है, उसके लिए सभी एक समान है, गलत तो गलत है वह सदैव, अपनी बात पर दृढ़ रहती है। ट्यूशन रैकेट के बारे में भी रजनी अधिकारीयों से विरोध जाहिर करती है। वह ट्यूशन के विरोध में न्याय के लिए जन-आन्दोलन खड़ा कर देती है।

7. पाठ के अंत में मीटिंग के स्थान का विवरण कोष्ठक में दिया गया है। यदि इसी दृश्य को फ़िल्माया जाए तो आप कौन कौन से निर्देश देंगे?

उत्तर: यदि मीटिंग दृश्य फिल्माया जाए तो हम निम्नलिखित निर्देश देंगे: 

(क) बैठक के पीछे एक मंच तैयार होना चाहिए और उस पर लिखे एजेंडे के साथ एक बैनर भी होना चाहिए।

(ख) मंच में एक माइक, कुर्सी, पोडियम के साथ-साथ पीने का पानी और चश्मा आदि होना चाहिए। 

(ग) सभा स्थल पर आने और जाने वाले लोगों में जोश और उत्साह होना चाहिए। 

(घ) रजनी को अपने संवादों को पूरी तरह याद रखना चहिए।

(ङ) यह ध्यान रखना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है कि लोगों या दर्शकों की भीड़ को ताली बजाने के अंतराल के बारे में पता है और ताली को समय पर रखा जाना चाहिए।

8. इस पटकथा में दृश्य संख्या का उल्लेख नहीं है। मगर गिनती करें तो सात दृश्य हैं। आप किस आधर पर इन दृश्यों को अलग करेंगे?

उत्तर: स्क्रिप्ट में कोई दृश्य संख्या नहीं है लेकिन दृश्य अलग से दिए गए हैं। हम उन दृश्यों के स्थान और परिस्थिति के आधार पर सभी दृश्यों को अलग कर देंगे।

प्रश्न अभ्यास भाषा की बात

1. निम्नलिखित वाक्यों के रेखांकित अंश में जो अर्थ निहित हैं

उन्हें स्पष्ट करते हुए लिखिए:

1. वरना तुम तो मुझे काट ही देतीं।

2. अमित जबतक तुम्हारे भोग नहीं लगा लेता, हम लोग खा थोड़े ही सकते हैं।

3. बस बस मैं समझ गया।

उत्तर: (क) काट ही देती (काटना) - भूल जाना/छोड़ देना 

स्पष्टीकरण: रजनी कहती है कि अगर वह लीला के घर नहीं आती, तो वह उसे मिठाई खिलाना भूल ही जाती।

(ख) भोग नहीं लगा (भोग लगाना) - (भोजन का पहला भाग देना/चढ़ाना)... चखाना

 स्पष्टीकरण: लीला कहती है कि अमित किसी और को तब तक नहीं खिलाता जब तक वह रजनी को नहीं खिलाता ।

(ग) बस-बस (पर्याप्त हुआ, और अधिक की आवश्यकता नहीं) - अधिक कहने की आवश्यकता नहीं 

स्पष्टीकरण: संपादक कहते हैं कि मुझे ज्यादा कहने की जरूरत नहीं है, मैं पूरी बात समझ गया हूं।

Introduction

Mannu Bhandari was born in 1931 in Bhanpura, Madhya Pradesh. She received many prestigious awards like the Hindi Sahitya Academy award, Shikhar Samman from Delhi, Bihar government, Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Kolkata, and few others. Her most famous creations include Ek Plate Sailab, Main Haar Gayi, Teen Nigahon ki Ek Tasveer, Aankhon Dekha Jhooth (collection of stories), and Ek Inch Muskaan (novel). She has also written a few screenplays like Swami, Nirmala, Rajni, and Darpan.

Mannu Bhandari became active in Hindi literature when the Nayi Kahani Andolan (new story movement) was at its peak. She contributed majorly to the new page of Nayi Kahani Andolan. In her stories, you will find family life, women’s life, and the anomalies of different strata of society. She has treated anger, sarcasm, and empathy with a psychological base and outlook.

Rajni is a screenplay written for the famous T.V. serial where Rajni was the name of its main character. Any script which is written for the screen reaches the masses in a big way. Rajni came at a time when soap operas like Hum and Buniyaad were changing the face of the television world. This T.V. the serial was directed by Basu Chatterji, and each episode was independent and complete in itself. All the episodes had one common character, Rajini, who was a fearless woman and always fought for justice always. In the story presented here, the writer has drawn our attention to the education system, which is becoming a business these days.

Rajni

The story starts at the house of a woman called Leela, who is Rajni’s neighbour. Rajni wants Leela to come along for some shopping, but Leela refuses as her son’s results are going to be out that day. Rajni is pleased on hearing that as she is sure Leela’s son Amit would get good marks. However, when Amit comes home, everyone gets to know that he got only 72 marks out of 100 in Maths. It seems that Amit’s teacher asked him many times to take private tuition from him, but Amit did not bother. That was the reason he did not get good marks.

Rajni takes up this matter with the principal of Amit’s school, but he dismisses her complaint. He says that this is between the student and the teacher and the school cannot take responsibility for that. When Rajni’s husband got to know this, he objected to Rajni meddling with others’ affairs, but Rajni did not listen to him.

Rajni then goes and complains to the director of the school as well regarding this incident. However, he also did not take her seriously and refused to act on it. The director suggested that Rajni should complain about this to the headmaster of the school, and he refused to take any action against this.

Finally, Rajni goes to meet the editor of a newspaper and finds some hope. She arranges a meeting for the parents of that school with the help of the newspaper people. In that meeting, she proposed that one should make strict rules against teachers forcing students to take tuition from them. If students do not take tuition and get poor marks for that, those teachers should be punished strictly for such a demeanour.

The board agrees to this proposal by Rajni, and she is successful in the movement she started.
