Why My Father is My Biggest Inspiration and Hero

Being a father is not easy as it requires a man to have a character that inspires his children to be better people in society. A man is expected to play many roles in society some of which are a good son, a loyal husband, and a father. A man will automatically be a good father if he is a good husband and a son. A man who respects his better half will surely go on and become a good father.

Being a father requires a lot of discipline as they are responsible for his family. A father takes care of everything without complaining. He takes care of the members of the family and their needs. In most of the houses, they are responsible for taking care of the education of the children and also feeding everyone in the house. Few qualities make a good father and in this essay on my father my hero, we will discuss all those qualities.

Here, we have provided a long and a short essay on my father. My hero along with that we have also provided frequently asked questions about my father is my hero essay.

Long Essay on My Father My Hero

Being a parent is not an easy job, it requires a lot of sacrifices. When a person becomes a parent, he or she understands the importance of life and moreover being a good parent is very important for the better growth of the child. While raising a family both father and mother have to sacrifice a lot. A mother sacrifices her sleep and her patience to take care of the child which is mostly appreciated by everyone in society but what about the sacrifices a father makes for the family. In society, it is expected from a man that he should not cry nor complain and moreover should not share the sacrifices he has done for the well-being of his family. My father is a hero to me, not the one who wears a cape and has a symbol on his chest that says he is a hero, he is a hero because he has been contributing a lot for the betterment of the family. He is a hero to me not only because he has helped us get a better education but also for how he raised me and my sisters.

There is a famous quote that says  “Ask a man what is his happiness and he would say that it is in the well being of his family ”, this quote is enough to justify the fact that how much a father sacrifices for his family. I don’t say that my father is a hero to me not only because he has sacrificed for the family but few qualities are associated with him that makes him my hero.

He is always ready to help others: We all see in a superhero movie that a hero is always there to help people. Superman is always there to fight the criminal so is batman but what differentiates them from my father is that my father is a silent hero, a hero who does not take credit for the help he has provided for the people. I remember an incident that happened when I was young. One of the colleagues of my father had fallen ill and he did not have money for the treatment. My father got to know about the whole situation and he silently without taking any credits helped his friend until he recovered. When I asked my father why he did not take the credit for the help he provided he told me one thing that I won’t forget for the rest of my life. He said, “Son, god admires the people who help but he loves the people who provide help and don’t mention it in the society or talks about it to anyone ”. This shows the character of my father and I am proud to say that he is my silent hero.

Another quality of my father that makes him a hero is that he is a very good teacher. From childhood, he has taught me and my sisters the things required to live a happy life. He has always told me to be optimistic about life. He did tell me that life would be difficult as I grow but if I am optimistic about life and work on my goal I would be successful. A person who teaches you how to live a happy life is surely a hero and I am proud to say that my father is one. Another quality that makes my father my hero is that he is very good at balancing professional and private life. My father has been working as the chief aerospace engineer for the past 26 years, and not a single day has passed by when I have seen him getting tensed about the work at home. He works 11 hours a day at the office and makes sure to keep all the confusion, meeting, and deadlines at the office doors. When he is at home, it is all about the well-being of the family.

To conclude I want to say that my father is my hero, he has always been a hero to me. He is always there to help me when I am in trouble, he is there to guide me when I am lost and has helped me to find a path that will allow me to be successful in life.

One quality that makes a person a hero is that he is always there to help people. Whether you consider spiderman or superman, heroes are known for providing selfless help. My father is one of them to me, though he does not wear a suit that has a spider symbol on his chest, he is a hero to me. He has always helped people and has taught us to help others. From childhood, he has taught us to be polite and helpful towards others and has said to not expect the same from others. He has always taught us to treat everyone equally without any discrimination.

One of the qualities that makes him my hero is that he is very good at balancing professional and personal life. My father has been working as the chief electric engineer at a private firm for the past 20 years and not a single day has passed when he has brought work pressure to home. He makes sure to take care of work at the office and also to take care of his family. A quality which is very rare these days. My father has always been responsible for everything. A well-structured essay on this topic should follow a clear format with an introduction, body, and conclusion. This approach helps organize your thoughts logically.

  • Introduction: Start with an engaging hook, like a personal memory or a powerful statement about what a hero means to you. Clearly state that your father is your hero.
  • Body Paragraphs: Dedicate 2-3 paragraphs to specific qualities. For example, discuss his role as a protector, a mentor, or an inspiration. Use specific examples and short stories for each point.

  • Sharing a short, vivid personal anecdote that immediately shows your father's heroic nature.
  • Asking a rhetorical question, such as, “What does it truly mean to be a hero?”
  • Using a powerful and direct statement like, “While many find their heroes in stories, my hero has been with me since my first day.”
  • Starting with a well-known quote about fathers or heroes and connecting it to your own father.

4. How can I use personal anecdotes or real-life examples to make my 'My Father, My Hero' essay more impactful?
