My father’s name is Arrav Thakur. He was born in a small village near Shimla. He has two brothers and a sister and he is the eldest of the four siblings. As parents, both the mother and father have distinctive roles in the upbringing of their children. The father plays a very important role in the family. He is often the one who earns the bread for the family. He is also considered the head of the family. My father is a businessman by profession. He runs a coaching institute. He is relentlessly working for our comfort and he has the best interest in the heart whenever we need his advice. He always tries to help us by sharing his experiences or the values he learned since childhood.  He always enlightens us with whatever he had faced in his life and how he was able to overcome them. I share a nice bond with him. I tell him all my day-to-day problems. He always takes care of me and supports me whenever I need him. He is a very simple man and lives a life of discipline, virtues and peace.  Even in his hectic daily schedule, he finds time to spend with his family. We often play together and he teaches me how to play badminton. He likes to cook in his spare time. He prepares my favourite dishes like pasta, chicken curry, biryani, etc. He always helps my mother in the kitchen and often prepares breakfast and packs our lunch. 

My father has taught me the ethics and etiquettes of life which will always help me in the future. He teaches us to be humble and help those who are in need. He also preaches a healthy and balanced lifestyle and practices yoga himself. My father is my hero!
