(क) आंध्र के घने जंगलों में रहने वाले आदिवासियों के बीच अपना हक जमाने के लिए अंग्रेज़ों ने क्या किया?

उत्तर: आंध्र के घने जंगलों में रहने वाले आदिवासियों के बीच अपना हक जमाने के लिए अंग्रेजों के द्वारा उस रास्ते की नाकाबंदी करवा दी गई जिस रास्ते से आदिवासी अपने लिए भोजन एवं पानी लेकर जाते थे। अंग्रेजों के ऐसा करने से आदिवासियों का जीवन बहुत ही कठिन हो चुका था, जिससे उनके भूखे मरने की हालत हो चुकी थी और इसी के चलते अपना जीवन बचाने के लिए आदिवासियों के पास अंग्रेजों के सामने अपना सर झुकाने के अलावा और कोई रास्ता नहीं था।

(ख) श्री राम राजू कौन था? उसने अंग्रेज़ों के सामने आत्मसमर्पण क्यों किया?

उत्तर: श्री राम राजू एक पढ़े-लिखे व्यक्ति थे। उन्होंने हाई स्कूल की शिक्षा प्राप्त की हुई थी। स्कूल की शिक्षा पूर्ण करने के पश्चात उन्होंने साधु बनने का फैसला किया जब उनकी उम्र केवल 18 साल थी। उन्होंने आदिवासियों पर हो रहे अत्याचार के विरुद्ध आवाज उठाने के लिए उन्हें प्रेरित किया| श्री राम राजू की ऐसी सोच से सभी आदिवासी सहमत थे और उन्हें अपना नेता मानने लगे।श्रीराम राजू के द्वारा अंग्रेजों के सामने आत्मसमर्पण इसलिए किया गया क्योंकि अंग्रेजों ने उनके सभी खाने पीने वाले रास्तों पर नाकाबंदी लगा दी थी जिस कारण उनके भूखे मरने की नौबत आ चुकी थी तो श्री राम राजू ने आत्मसमर्पण का फैसला किया।

(ग) अंग्रेज़ों से लड़ने के लिए कोया आदिवासी क्या क्या करते थे?

उत्तर: अंग्रेजों से लड़ने के लिए कोया आदिवासियों द्वारा अपने आप को बचाने के लिए यह रास्ता अपनाए गए थे| वह घने जंगलों में पेड़ों के पीछे छुप छुप कर अंग्रेजी सेना पर हमला किया करते थे तथा गुप्त रास्तो से भी अंग्रेजी सेना पर आदिवासियों द्वारा हमला किया जाता था। जब अंग्रेज़ी सेना एक साथ होकर जंगल के रास्ते से गुजरते तो वह कुछ भारतीय सैनिकों को छोड़ देते थे और अन्य लोगों को जैसे अंग्रेज़ी सारजेन्ट या कैप्टन पास आते तो उन्हें मार देते थे|

(घ) कोया आदिवासियों के विद्रोह को स्वतंत्रता संग्राम क्यों कहना चाहिए?

उत्तर: अत्याचार के विरुद्ध जब भी किसी व्यक्ति या समूह के द्वारा कोई लड़ाई लड़ी जाती है तो उसे स्वाधीनता या स्वतंत्रता संग्राम कहा जा सकता है। यहां भी कुछ ऐसा ही हुआ अंग्रेजों के अत्याचार से परेशान हुए आदिवासियों ने उनके खिलाफ आवाज उठाना शुरू कर दिया और देखते ही देखते इसने एक नया रूप धारण कर लिया जिसे स्वतंत्रता संग्राम कहा जा सकता है। अंग्रेजों ने आदिवासियों को बिना मजदूरी के सड़क बनाने का आदेश दिया था और यह एक प्रकार का आदिवासियों पर अत्याचार था। इन्हीं आदिवासियों द्वारा की गई इस लड़ाई को स्वतंत्रता संग्राम का कहा जा सकता है।

4. क्या ठीक होगा?

(i) "दो दिन में जंगल में सड़क बनाने का काम शुरू होगा। तुम सब लोगों को इस काम पर पहुँचना है। अगर नहीं पहुँचे तो ठीक नहीं होगा।"

(ii) "काम करेंगे तो बदले में क्या मिलेगा।"

ऊपर के कथनों में पहला कथन तहसीलदार बेस्टीयन का है जो आदिवासियों के गाँवों में जाकर चिल्ला चिल्लाकर बोला था और दूसरा कथन आदिवासियों में से किसी का है जो तहसीलदार से पूछना चाहा रहा था।

(क) तुम्हारे विचार से बेस्टियन का कथन ठीक होगा?

उत्तर: मेरे विचार से बेस्टियन के द्वारा कहा गया कथन बिल्कुल ही अनुचित था।

(ख) आदिवासियों में से किसी के द्वारा कहा गया वह कथन कैसा है? तुम्हारे विचार से क्या ठीक होगा? (संकेत: तुम अपनी पसंद के कथन को अपने ढंग से लिख सकते हो)

उत्तर: आदिवासियों में से किसी एक व्यक्ति के द्वारा यह प्रश्न किया गया जोकि बिल्कुल उचित था क्योंकि कोई भी व्यक्ति अगर किसी काम को करेगा तो उसको उसके बदले में मेहनताना मिलना आवश्यक है क्योंकि किसी भी व्यक्ति के द्वारा किसी तरह का कार्य तभी पूर्ण किया जा सकता है जब वह स्वास्थ्य से बिल्कुल ठीक हो एवं उसका पेट भरा हो और तभी मनुष्य किसी भी कार्य को करने में सक्षम होता है।

6. तुम्हारे विचार से

(क) राजू हाई स्कूल तक पढ़ाई करने के बाद जंगलों में रहने क्यों आया होगा?

उत्तर: राजू ने हाई स्कूल की शिक्षा प्राप्त की हुई थी। संसार में चारों तरफ फैले हुए अत्याचार एवं भ्रष्टाचार से उसका मन अत्यधिक दुखी हो गया होगा। अंग्रेजों के प्रति उसके मन में विद्रोह का भाव था| अतः उसने फैसला किया होगा कि क्यों न इस सांसारिक मोह माया का त्याग करके मैं एकांत में अपना जीवन यापन करूं और तभी वह समाज का त्याग कर एक साधु की वेशभूषा धारण कर जंगल में चला गया होगा।

(ख) राजू के शहीद होने का आदिवासियों के आंदोलन पर क्या असर हुआ होगा?

उत्तर: राजू के शहीद होने पर आदिवासियों का आन्दोलन टूट गया क्योंकि केवल एक राजू ही ऐसा व्यक्ति था जिसने अंग्रेजो के खिलाफ आदिवासियों को आवाज उठाने की प्रेरणा दी थी। राजू के शहीद हो जाने के पश्चात आदिवासियों की हिम्मत टूट चुकी थी। वह पूरी तरह से टूट चुके थे। तब आदिवासियों ने आत्मसमर्पण कर अंग्रेजों की गुलामी करना शुरू कर दिया।
