Rajasthan once again has multiple 100th percentile candidates, continuing its strong performance trend from 2023–2025.
Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Delhi also appear frequently among the highest scorers.
The state-wise topper table and the overall 100 percentile list are not the same:
The 100 percentile list shows all candidates who achieved the highest NTA score.
The state-wise table shows the top candidate from each state/UT, even if they are slightly below 100 percentile.
NTA uses NTA Score (percentile), which is normalised across shifts, not raw marks. So students should not directly compare NTA score with raw marks.

The 100 percentile list includes all candidates who achieved the highest NTA Score (often 100.0000000) in that year.
The state‑wise topper list shows only the top scorer from each state/UT, even if their percentile is slightly below 100 (for example, Uttar Pradesh toppers with 99.9992+ in 2026 Session 1).

2024: 56 candidates with 100 percentile.
2023: 43 candidates with 100 percentile.
This three‑year trend (43 in 2023, 56 in 2024, and multiple toppers again in 2025–2026) shows that dozens of students reach the 100 percentile mark each year, especially from strong JEE hubs like Rajasthan, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Delhi.
12. Can I become a JEE Main topper if I appear in only one session?
Yes. In every year from 2023 to 2026, candidates who appeared in only one session have featured in the topper lists. NTA uses your best NTA Score, so if you attempt only one session and achieve a very high percentile (near or at 100), you can still be a topper and even state topper.
13. What percentile is required to become a JEE Main topper?
To be listed as a national topper, you generally need 100 NTA percentile. To be a state-wise topper, the requirement varies by state and year; in some states, the topper has 100 percentile, while in others the topper can be 99.9+ percentile (as seen for Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal in the 2026 Session 1 state‑wise list).
14. Does being a JEE Main topper (2023–2026) guarantee a top rank in JEE Advanced?
No. JEE Main and JEE Advanced are separate exams with different patterns and ranking systems. Many JEE Main toppers also perform well in JEE Advanced, but JEE Main AIR 1 or 100‑percentilers are not automatically JEE Advanced AIR 1.
15. Where can I officially verify JEE Main topper details for 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026?
For any year, students should verify topper details on the official NTA portals:
