The JEE Main 2026 exam dates have been announced by the National Testing Agency for both sessions. NTA’s advisory placed Session 1 in January 2026 and Session 2 in April 2026. For the April attempt, the latest official notice confirms that Paper 1 B.E./B.Tech. will be held on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, 2026, while Paper 2A B.Arch., Paper 2B B.Planning, and the combined Paper 2A and 2B exam will be held on April 7, 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Registration

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 registration opened on October 31, 2025 and remained available until November 27, 2025. The Session 1 application correction window was later made available on December 1 and 2, 2025.

For Session 2, the official registration page went live on February 1, 2026. NTA later announced that the application window would close on February 25, 2026 at 9:00 PM, allowed corrections up to February 28, 2026, and then briefly re-opened the portal on March 12 and 13, 2026 for candidates who had missed the earlier deadline.

JEE Main 2026 Application Form – Dates, Fees, and Required Documents

Candidates had to complete the JEE Main 2026 application form online through the official portal by entering their personal, academic, and exam details, uploading the required documents, and paying the application fee within the specified deadline for each session. Session 2 registration and related updates were hosted on the official JEE Main website.

JEE Main 2026 Form Correction Date

NTA provided a correction facility for both sessions. For Session 1, the correction window was available in early December 2025. For Session 2, NTA officially allowed candidates to make changes in their submitted forms up to February 28, 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Admit Card and City Intimation Slip

Before issuing the admit card, NTA released the city intimation slip so candidates could check their allotted exam city in advance. For Session 1, the city intimation slip was issued in January, and admit cards were released in phases for candidates appearing on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2026. For Session 2, the city intimation slip is already live, and candidates can download it from the official website using their login credentials.

Candidates should remember that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. It only tells them the allotted exam city, while the admit card will carry the exact exam centre address, reporting time, and other exam-day instructions.

JEE Main 2026 Answer Key Release Date

For Session 1, NTA has already published the provisional answer key notices and final answer keys for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 on the official JEE Main website. For Session 2, no answer key notice has been published on the official JEE Main notices page yet.

JEE Main 2026 Result Date

The Session 1 Paper 1 result was published on February 16, 2026, and the Session 1 Paper 2 result was published on February 24, 2026 on the official JEE Main website. For Session 2, the result date has not yet been announced on the official portal.

Additionally, NTA will publish the JEE Main 2026 Cutoff Percentile along with the Session 2 result, indicating the minimum qualifying marks required to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Counselling Dates

The JoSAA will conduct the JEE Main 2026 Counselling for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other participating institutes. Candidates qualifying in JEE Main or JEE Advanced are eligible to participate.

To join the counselling, candidates must register online on the official JoSAA website, fill in their preferred colleges and courses, and verify their eligibility criteria before choice filling. Seat allocation will be done based on the JEE rank, category, and choices filled during registration.

Once a seat is allotted, candidates must confirm admission by choosing the freeze, float, or slide option, paying the seat acceptance fee, and uploading the required documents. The detailed JoSAA 2026 schedule and instructions will be released in June 2026 after the JEE Main Session 2 results.

The JEE Mains 2026 registration for Session 1 started on October 31, 2025, at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2025.
