JEE Main 2026 Registration

The JEE Main 2026 registration process officially began on October 31, 2025, giving candidates nearly a month to complete their applications. Students can submit the online JEE Main 2026 application form and pay the examination fee until November 27, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM) through the official NTA portal – jeemain.nta.nic.in.


During this period, candidates must enter accurate personal, academic, and communication details, upload the required documents in the prescribed format, and make the fee payment to successfully register.

JEE Main 2026 Application Form – Dates, Fees, and Required Documents

NTA opened the JEE Main application form 2026 on October 31, 2025. Candidates can submit their applications online until November 27, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM) through the official website. To complete the registration process, applicants must enter their personal, academic, and exam details, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee online.

JEE Main 2026 Form Correction Date

NTA will offer a form correction facility for candidates who need to modify details in their JEE Main 2026 application form. Through this window, applicants can edit or update their submitted information if any errors were made during registration.


Additionally, NTA will provide a separate image correction window to rectify mistakes in uploaded photographs or documents. The JEE Main 2026 Correction Window will be activated after the closure of the application form submission deadline.

JEE Main 2026 Admit Card and City Intimation Slip

NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 Admit Card on its official website for candidates who have successfully completed their registration. Applicants must download and carry a printed copy of the admit card to the examination centre on the exam day.


Along with the admit card, candidates are required to bring a valid photo ID proof (such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, PAN card, or driving licence) and one passport-size photograph identical to the one uploaded in the application form.


Before releasing the admit card, NTA will issue the JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip, which informs candidates about their exam city and date. This slip helps applicants plan their travel arrangements in advance.

JEE Main 2026 Answer Key Release Date

After the completion of the exam, the NTA will publish the provisional JEE Main 2026 Answer Key on its official website. Along with the answer key, candidates will also be able to access their response sheet and question paper PDF through the JEE Main login portal.


Initially, NTA releases the provisional answer key, allowing candidates to challenge any discrepancies by submitting objections within a specified period of two days. To raise an objection, candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question.


Once all challenges are reviewed by subject experts, NTA will issue the final JEE Main 2026 Answer Key, which will serve as the basis for calculating the exam scores and preparing the result.

JEE Main 2026 Result Date

NTA will declare the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result in the second week of February 2026, while the Session 2 Result will be released in the last week of April 2026. Candidates can check their results by logging into the official website using their application number and password.


Additionally, NTA will publish the JEE Main 2026 Cutoff Percentile along with the Session 2 result, indicating the minimum qualifying marks required to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Counselling Dates

The JoSAA will conduct the JEE Main 2026 Counselling for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other participating institutes. Candidates qualifying in JEE Main or JEE Advanced are eligible to participate.


To join the counselling, candidates must register online on the official JoSAA website, fill in their preferred colleges and courses, and verify their eligibility criteria before choice filling. Seat allocation will be done based on the JEE rank, category, and choices filled during registration.


Once a seat is allotted, candidates must confirm admission by choosing the freeze, float, or slide option, paying the seat acceptance fee, and uploading the required documents. The detailed JoSAA 2026 schedule and instructions will be released in June 2026 after the JEE Main Session 2 results.
