JEE Main 2026 Final Answer Key Released: PDF Download, Dropped Questions, Multiple Answers and Result Status

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 final answer key has now been officially released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. In the final key, 9 questions have been dropped while 4 questions have been assigned multiple correct answers, and marks will be awarded as per NTA’s evaluation rules.


Earlier, NTA had released the provisional answer key, response sheet, and question paper PDFs and allowed candidates to raise objections during the challenge window. Since that process is now complete, the final answer key has been published after reviewing all valid challenges submitted by candidates.


With the release of the final answer key, the JEE Mains Result 2026 Session 1 is being released today. Students will be able to check their scorecard, percentile, and rank once the result link is activated on the official portal.

  1. On the homepage, look for the notification or direct link labelled “JEE Main 2026 Answer Key.” Make sure you select the correct session—either the JEE Main Answer Key 2026 Session 1 or JEE Main Session 2 Answer Key.

  1. Enter your application number and password or your date of birth to securely access your exam dashboard.

  1. After logging in, download both the JEE Main answer key and your individual response sheet. Save these files for future reference.

  1. Open the downloaded files and compare your recorded answers with the official answer key. Calculate your probable score using the official marking scheme.


Steps to Challenge the JEE Mains Answer Key 2026

  • Step 1: Go to the NTA JEE Main portal.

  • Step 2: Use your Application Number and Date of Birth/Password to log in. Click on the “Answer Key Challenge” option visible on the dashboard.

  • Step 3: Download the provisional answer key and carefully compare it with the responses you marked in the exam.

  • Step 4: Select the specific question(s) you believe contain an error by ticking the checkbox next to each one.

  • Step 5: For every challenge, attach valid proof—such as excerpts from textbooks, reference materials, or credible academic sources—to support your objection.

  • Step 6: A fee of ₹200 per question must be paid online. You can pay via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

  • Step 7: After completing the payment, submit your challenge request. NTA will review all objections and release the final answer key afterward.
