JEE Main Exam Centres 2025 - State-wise & City-Wise Complete List

Every examination year, NTA releases a comprehensive list of Exam centres for both Indian States and Outside India. As per the recent updates, NTA has selected 501 centres in India and 25 centres abroad to conduct JEE Main 2025.

The allocation of the Exam centre is based on preferences filled by the candidate during the JEE Main application process. The Candidates are asked to select 4 exam centres as per their current address and feasibility. Accordingly, NTA will allocate the exam centre for those candidates who have successfully completed their application forms and will receive their Centre details in their JEE Main Admit Card.

The NTA has released the JEE Main Exam City Intimation Slip for 2025, providing crucial details about the exam centre. Candidates can download the slip by logging into the official website or click on the JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2025 Link. It's an essential document for exam preparation, allowing candidates to plan their logistics and be well-prepared for the upcoming JEE Main session.

What Is JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2025?

The JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2025 is a document released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that provides candidates with information about their allocated exam city for the JEE Main exam. It includes details like the exam centre's address and code. Candidates can download this slip from the official website to prepare for the upcoming JEE Main session and plan their logistics accordingly.

JEE Main Exam Centres 2025- New Centres

NTA has not added any new exam centres for the conduct of JEE Main 2025 examinations. Kargil (Ladakh), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Anuja/ Lagos (Nigeria) are three new centres freshly added by NTA during the time of Covid-19, that exists till now also. There are few JEE Main exam centres that are omitted from the list. Few centres for JEE Main that are not present in the city list are Daman and Diu, Karaikal, Udhampur, Kathuka etc. Well, the applicants cannot request any change to their exam centres after the JEE Main admit card has been issued.

What are the Things to Note Before Choosing the Exam City for JEE Main 2025?

Choosing the right exam city can have a significant impact on your preparation and performance in the exam. Here are some important things to consider when selecting your JEE Main 2025 exam city:

Factors to Consider When Choosing an Exam City:

1. Familiarity with the Exam Center:

Choosing an exam centre that you are familiar with can help reduce anxiety and improve your overall comfort level. If you have visited the exam centre before, you will be familiar with the surroundings, the layout of the exam hall, and the transportation options. This familiarity can help you feel more at ease on the day of the exam.

2. Travel Distance and Accommodation:

Consider the travel distance from your residence to the exam centre. If you live far away, you may need to make arrangements for accommodation. Staying overnight near the exam centre can help you avoid the stress of early morning travel and ensure that you are well-rested and focused for the exam.

3. Exam Center Facilities and Amenities:

Check the facilities and amenities available at the exam centre. Ensure that the exam centre has adequate seating arrangements, proper ventilation, and clean and hygienic restrooms. A well-equipped exam centre can contribute to a positive and conducive exam-taking environment.

4. Exam Center Reputation and History:

Inquire about the reputation and history of the exam centre. Check if there have been any reports of irregularities or disruptions at the centre in the past. A reputable and well-managed exam centre can provide a sense of security and assurance.

5. Personal Preferences and Comfort Level:

Consider your personal preferences and comfort level when making your decision. If you prefer a quieter and less crowded environment, opt for a smaller exam centre in a less populated area. Conversely, if you thrive in a more stimulating environment, a larger exam centre in a bustling city might be a better fit.

How to Choose JEE Main 2025 Examination Centres?

Applicants are recommended to select exam centres based on their ability and availability of transportation to the locations listed. Because JEE Main candidates are distributed across the country, NTA has established test centres with well-maintained road and rail connectivity for the year 2025.

Here is how they can select their examination centre:

Step 1: Log on to the official website for JEE Main.

Step 2: Click to register for the entrance.

Step 3: Fill in the required details.

  • Applying for which Exam

  • Mode of the examination

  • Question paper medium

  • Choice of online exam centre.

NOTE: The choice of examination centres also determines the medium of the question paper. For example, in case you want to attempt your entrance in either English or Hindi, you need not be worried about the centres because all of them provide these two mediums.

However, if you want to give your exam in Gujarati, the centres you should opt for include Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Gujarat, and Daman and Diu.

JEE Main Exam Centres 2025 - State-wise Complete List

Candidates residing in India can choose from the available list of examination centres spread across 501 cities. Whereas, Students living abroad can choose from the 25 international examination centres.

The centre choice is available to candidates during the registration process. They can select a maximum of 4 centres according to their preference. However, the seats are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The NTA also released centre locators using the help of which candidates can quickly locate the address of their examination hall. It is always advisable that aspirants try and visit the examination centre beforehand so that they can know the convenient ways to reach the address in time.

How JEE Main Centres are Allotted?

The allocation of JEE Main exam centres is based on the preferences filled by the candidate during the JEE Main application process. The candidates are asked to select 4 exam centres as per their current address and feasibility.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) tries to allot the candidate's first preference exam centre. However, if the first preference exam centre is full, then the NTA tries to allot the candidate's second preference exam centre. This process continues until the candidate is allotted an exam centre.

If the NTA is unable to allot any of the candidate's preference exam centres, then the candidate will be allotted an exam centre based on the availability of seats.

Here are some additional factors that the NTA may consider when allotting exam centres:

  1. The candidate's current address

  2. The feasibility of travel to the exam centre

  3. The availability of seats at the exam centre

  4. The past performance of the exam centre

The NTA will release the list of allotted exam centres along with the admit cards. The candidates are advised to check their admit cards carefully and plan their travel accordingly.
