NEET 2024 State Wise Merit List Overview

The NEET Merit List is like a list of top performers in the NEET exam. It includes the names, scores, and ranks of eligible candidates for counselling. You can find this list as a PDF on official websites of MCC and state authorities. The article explains who releases the list, the types of lists, marks vs rank, and the cutoff.

For NEET 2024, the NTA will release the Merit List for candidates choosing 15% AIQ seats. This list is then sent to DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and MCC handles the counselling for these seats based on ranks and scores from NEET 2024. The article details the NEET 2024 Counselling Process.

A notable change in the NEET Merit List criteria is the removal of age limit as a factor in case of tiebreakers.

Initially, provisional merit lists are released, and candidates use them for admission. After each counselling round, final NEET allotment lists come out. These lists show the names, ranks, and allotted college for each candidate. If you want more details, you can check the NEET 2024 Seat Matrix.

To get into NEET 2024, you need to score a certain percentage. For general candidates, it's 50%, for general candidates with disabilities, it's 45%, and for SC/ST/OBC candidates, it's 40%. The specific minimum score for each category will be revealed when the results are announced.

Due to the strong competition among aspirants, it is common for two or more students to get the same marks.  In those cases, the exam conducting body uses a tie-breaking process that will assign different ranks to different candidates though having the same NEET 2024 Marks. This will ensure that no two individuals will have the same rank. The following are the tie-breaking factors for NEET 2024:
