Important Questions on Electromagnetic Induction for NEET 2025

The experts at Vedantu have specifically designed chapter-wise Important Questions series for NEET 2025 exam. These are prepared after analysing the trend of questions that have been asked by NEET in previous years. This question bank covers questions from all topics of Electromagnetic Induction and therefore will help students revise and test their knowledge on this particular topic.

Electromagnetic Induction for NEET 2025

Electromagnetic Induction is an important topic for the preparation of competitive exams. Here are certain concepts on Electromagnetic Induction in brief:

  • The experiments for Electromagnetic Induction were carried out by Faraday and Henry.

  • The magnetic flux linked with the surface is determined by the number of lines of force that cross a surface.

  • The S.I. The unit of magnetic flux is weber and its C.G.S unit is maxwell.

  • Faraday’s law of Electromagnetic Induction states that any change in the number of magnetic lines of force, that is, flux linked with any closed circuit causes the flow of induced current through the circuit which lasts only till the change lasts.

  • Lenz’s law states that the induced emf and change in magnetic flux oppose each other and thus the value of induced emf is negative.

  • Eddy currents are the circulating currents induced in metal by themselves due to the change in magnetic flux linked with the metal.

  • Eddy currents are utilised in devices like dead beat galvanometers, speedometers, energy metres, electric brakes, induction furnaces, single-phase AC motors, and diathermy.

  • Self-inductance is a property of coil due to which it induces an emf in itself so that it opposes any change in the strength of the current flowing through it.

  • Mutual inductance is the property of two coils due to which they develop an induced emf that opposes any change in the strength of the current flowing through the other coil.

NEET 2025 Preparation Tips

  • Start with Biology and add one more subject at the same time. It’ll be easier to cover the syllabus this way.

  • Read NCERT thoroughly and start making notes.

  • Start searching for additional study material, such as reference books, mock papers, and sample papers and online websites after finishing the NCERT

  • Understand concepts with diagrams to memorise well.

  • Try to solve as many Physics questions as possible. Create a formula list for each chapter that has all the laws and formulas covered in that chapter.

  • Learn chemical equations and diagrams for Chemistry. Make a list of chemical equations and formulas to be used in answering the questions after finishing each chapter.

Candidates must be well prepared for NEET 2025 Exam. As competition is very high, aspirants should be thorough with important factors such as Exam pattern, type of questions asked, Important questions from all subjects, questions asked from each section, weightage from each section, and the marking scheme.  A proper study plan, revisions, understanding of the NCERT curriculum for Classes 11 and 12, and familiarity with previous question papers must all be included in the preparation strategy.

FAQs on NEET 2025 - Electromagnetic Induction Important Questions

1. What are the sub-topics in Electromagnetic Induction and alternating current that I should study for NEET?

There are various concepts of Electromagnetic Induction and alternating current that are asked during the exam. Students should study the below-given topics well to attempt questions from this section during their NEET examination.

  • Laws of Electromagnetic Induction: Lenz’s law and Faraday’s law

  • Induced electromotive force (e.m.f) and current

  • Eddy current

  • Self-induction

  • Mutual induction

  • Transformer

  • A.C. Generator

  • Alternating current and terminologies involved with alternating current

  • A.C. circuits and their power

  • LCR series circuit

  • LC oscillations

  • Resonance

2. From which topic of Electromagnetic Induction, more questions are asked in the NEET examination?

On analysis of questions that have been asked in medical entrance examinations in the last 8 years, we have noticed that maximum questions come from the laws of Electromagnetic Induction, that is, Faraday’s law and Lenz law. Induced electromotive force and current are also equally asked in the examination. The least number of questions appeared from self and mutual induction, eddy current, transformer, L.C. oscillations, alternating current, and its terminologies. But, students must revise the entire chapter for the exams.

3. How will NEET Electromagnetic Induction Important Questions help me in my exam?

NEET Electromagnetic Induction Important Questions are prepared for the students who are going to appear in the upcoming NEET examination. The Important Questions are designed on analysing the trend of previous years’ question papers of medical entrance exams. The solutions for each question are also discussed along with the question so that it is easier for the students to understand the concepts related to a question. These solutions are provided by subject experts in the most simplified way possible.

4. How can I prepare the topics included in Electromagnetic Induction well for the NEET exam?

There are certain tips for students by our experts, that each student should follow so that they are well-prepared to face any question from Electromagnetic Induction in their upcoming NEET exam:

  • Make your notes of all important points in the chapter. Remember to write notes in your language so that it is easier for you to remember.

  • Competitive exams test the conceptual clarity of students, therefore, always clear all your concepts.

  • Practise questions as much as you can from all available sources.

  • Don't only depend on previous years’ questions. Previous years’ questions will only let you know the pattern of questions in exams.

5. Is NCERT sufficient to prepare for the NEET exam?

Each student that is going to appear in the NEET exam, must go through NCERT books thoroughly. NCERT books will help you build the fundamentals related to a topic and give you some clarity in your concepts. Experts recommend that though NCERT is good for competitive exams, students should also have a look at other sources of information as well. These information sources are designed especially for NEET and therefore, focus on areas that are asked in exams. Thus, it will be beneficial for students to gather information from a variety of sources and textbooks.
