NEET Counselling 2026 Choice Filling Tips

  • Use rank rather than marks when comparing previous closing cutoffs.

  • Prepare separate lists of dream, realistic and safer colleges.

  • Place colleges in true preference order.

  • Check tuition fees, bond conditions and service obligations.

  • Review the seat matrix before every round.

  • Do not exclude lower preferences merely because they appear less likely.

  • Check state quota and private college options separately.

  • Save and print the final locked choices.

  • Avoid waiting until the last hour to lock choices.

  • Never enrol in a college you are unwilling or unable to afford.

MCC advises candidates to check college fees, bonds, course conditions, and institutional information before locking choices, as locked choices cannot be modified.
