120 seconds equals 2 minutes, since
2 minutes = 2 × 60 = 120 seconds.


When we multiply a minute marking by 5, we obtain the next marking on the minutes number line.

To find the matching value on the seconds number line, the number of minutes must be multiplied by 60.

So, the total time he spends studying is:
50 × 4 = 200 minutes.

Now, convert 200 minutes into hours and minutes:
200 minutes = 180 minutes + 20 minutes

= 3 hours 20 minutes.
