Though the law gives women equal status in India, many people hold unscientific views on a woman’s innate nature, capacity and intelligence, and in practice give them a secondary status and role. Demolish this view using scientific arguments, and by quoting examples of great women in science and other spheres; and persuade yourself and others that, given equal opportunity, women are on par with men.

Hint Men and Women are the two wheels of the cart. Both must run equally and existence of both is necessary to run the cart. Nowadays, women are also provided equal opportunity in all fields and they achieve equal to men in all the fields.

Complete step by step solution
Some of the orthodox people follow the traditional values and consider that the women do not have any intelligence, bravery and capacity to that of the men and they have to obey the orders laid by the men. But there are many examples that the women have proved their ability in all fields. While taking the field of the Indian history, the Rani Lakshmi Bai, Rani Mangammal, etc. and in the science field Madam Curie, Margret Thatcher and others have proved themselves. Indira Gandhi, mother Teresa, Fluorescence Nightingale also stood for their bravery and other social works.

Hence women are not definitely standing behind the men and they are equally talented.

Note: Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Prize for his social work to work among the poor people and also the untouchables. Marie Curie was the first woman to get a Nobel Prize for his service in the discovery of many elements in the periodic table.
