Hint: Fossil fuels are the geological deposits of the dead plants and the animals that are used as the fuel since they are flammable in nature. The deposits of the plants, animals after a long years converted into natural gas, coal and petroleum due to their high temperature and the pressure below the earth’s surface.

1. The burning of the fossil fuels will yield lots of smoke and hence causes the air pollution in the atmosphere. Hence the oxygen level in the earth decreases and the carbon dioxide level increases. This causes global warming and there by melting of glaciers, increase in the ocean level etc.
2. Burning of the fossils also releases an enormous amount of the oxides of the nitrogen, Sulphur and the carbon thereby causing acid rain and also reduces the soil fertility and also the water purity.
3. Since they are non- renewable, they cannot fully sustain the daily needs for human life.
4. These fossil fuels are found deep under the soil surface, so they have to drill in the deep. It is a very dangerous process.
