प्रस्तुत कहानी मे तारा निगम ने एक बूढी अम्मा और आसमान के बारे में बताया है।

कहानी मे बताया गया है कि बहुत समय पहले एक बूढी अम्मा अकेली रहती थी और अपने घर का सारा काम अकेले ही कर लेती थी।
हर बार जब वह सुबह घर के आँगन में झाडू लगाने आती थी तो हमेशा आसमान उसकी कमर से टकरा जाता था।
जब अम्मा उसे घूरती थी तो वह पीछे हट जाता था।
इस प्रकार आसमान हमेशा अम्मा के साथ शरारत किया करता था।
इसी बीच एक दिन जब अम्मा का किसी के साथ झगड़ा हो गया तो उस दिन वह बहुत गुस्से में थी।
उस दिन जब आसमान अम्मा से शरारत करने लगा तो गुस्से मे होने के कारण अम्मा ने उस पर झाडू मार दी।
तब उस शरारती आसमान ने झाडू को पकड लिया और अम्मा को ऊपर खींचने लगा।
अम्मा अब जमीन से ऊपर थी और बहुत डर रही थी।
तभी अम्मा को बगल मे चांद दिखाई दिया और अम्मा झाडू के साथ चांद पर बैठ गई।
यह देखकर आसमान डर गया और भाग गया।
अब अम्मा झाडू के साथ ही चाँद पर बैठी रह गई और तभी से अम्मा झाड़ू पकड़े चाँद पर बैठी हुई है।

One day, Amma was not having a good day. When the sky bumped into her back, she threw her broom right at him. The sky caught the broom and did not let go. She was also determined and started pulling. Eventually, Amma was pulled so high that she cannot let the broom go or she will die.
