Hint:In this question, we have to state the Hooke’s law which is applicable for the elasticity of the objects. Elastic limit gives the limit of an object to be elastic. Modulus of elasticity is the parameter which measures the elasticity of the object.
Complete step by step solution: -
Hooke’s law- Hooke's law is the law of elasticity which is discovered by the English scientist Robert Hooke. This law states that for relatively small deformations of an object, the displacement or size of the deformation is directly proportional to the deforming force or load. Under these conditions the object will return to its original shape and size after the removal of the load or deforming force.
Elastic limit- Elastic limit is the limit in which the maximum extent to which a solid may be stretched without permanent alteration of size or shape. The elastic limit is the property of Elastic objects because this limit identifies whether the object is elastic or plastic. Plastic objects are those objects who can't return to their original shape and size whereas elastic objects are those objects who can return to their original shape and size.
Modulus of elasticity- Modulus of elasticity is the measure of the relationship between stress and strain and it is a very important parameter in the evaluation of the deformation response of an object under the deforming force or loads. Modulus of elasticity is a type of resistance of that object. Modulus of elasticity is the ratio of stress to the strain where stress is the force which causes the deformation and strain is the ratio of change in the parameter to the original value of the parameter.
Note: - If an object follows the Hooke’s law then the object is called elastic objects. The objects which don’t follow the Hooke’s law are called plastic objects. Elastic limit is a boundary for an object which differs elasticity from plasticity. Modulus of elasticity is the measurement of elasticity property of an object.
