Hint: Magnetization is a vector quantity which gives us the measurement of the density of induced dipole or permanent moment in a given magnetic material. Magnetization is also known as magnetic polarization. Magnetization of a body is due to the body’s magnetic moment.
Formula used:
$M=\dfrac{{{m}_{net}}}{V}$
${{B}_{0}}={{\mu }_{0}}nI$
$B={{B}_{0}}+{{B}_{m}}$
Complete answer:
Any object that produces a magnetic field around itself is known as a magnet. This field produced is generally invisible.
We know that the net magnetic moment for a material per unit volume, for a given sample material M, is known as magnetization of a sample.
So, we can show it mathematically by the formula,
$M=\dfrac{{{m}_{net}}}{V}$,
The SI unit for magnetization of a sample is $A{{m}^{-1}}$ (ampere per meter)
Additional Information:
In case of a solenoid, the magnetic field inside the solenoid can be mathematically represented as,
${{B}_{0}}={{\mu }_{0}}nI$, here n is the number of turns per unit length, I is the current passing through the solenoid.
Now, if we fill the above solenoid with a material, which is considered as a material with non-zero magnetization. Then the net magnetic field can be given as,
$B={{B}_{0}}+{{B}_{m}}$, here ${{B}_{m}}$ is the value which is actually the field contributed by the core material, it is directly proportional to the magnetization of the material that is M.
Note:
We can classify materials on the basis of their magnetic property, from the concept of magnetization. The magnetic property is developed in the material due to the motion in its electrons. The resulting magnetization power is a result of the response of a material to an external magnetic field.
