Tamil Nadu MBBS Application Form 2026 OUT: Registration Dates, Eligibility & How to Apply

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, has released the Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2026 application form. Eligible candidates can apply online at tnmedicalselection.net from June 29, 2026. The last date is yet to be announced, so register early - DME prepares the Tamil Nadu NEET 2026 rank list only for candidates who successfully submit the form.

To apply, enter your personal, academic, and Re NEET 2026 details, upload your NEET admit card, and pay the fee of ₹500 for the government quota (free for SC, SCA, ST) and ₹1,000 for the management quota. Only NEET-qualified candidates can join the Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling that follows.

Tamil Nadu MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2026

Before filling out the application form, make sure you meet the Tamil Nadu Re NEET 2026 eligibility criteria. Candidates must satisfy the following requirements to apply for MBBS/BDS admission:

• Age: Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026.

• Academic qualification: Must have passed Class 12 or appeared for the final Class 12 exams.

• Minimum marks (PCB): At least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined for the General (UR) category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for PwD candidates.

• Domicile: Only candidates with Tamil Nadu domicile are eligible for government and state-quota seats. NRIs and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) can apply for management and NRI quota seats.

• Re NEET 2026 qualification: Must qualify for the Re NEET UG 2026 exam with the required category-wise cutoff released by the NTA.

Tamil Nadu MBBS Application Form 2026 for Special Category

Candidates applying under a special category must fill out an additional special category form, available in the information brochure. Special categories include children of veterans, sports quota, and persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD).

How to Fill the Tamil Nadu NEET Application Form 2026

You can complete the Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS application form in seven simple steps. Enter all details carefully - incomplete or incorrect forms are rejected, and no corrections are allowed after submission.

• Step 1: Register - Click the application link, enter your name, DOB, gender, category, mobile number, and email, create a password, and verify with the OTP sent to your mobile. Your login ID and password are emailed to you.

• Step 2: Fill in personal details - Log in and enter parent details, community code, NEET 2026 application number, NEET UG roll number, and your permanent and correspondence address.

• Step 3: Pay the application fee - Pay online via debit/credit card or net banking: ₹500 (government quota) or ₹1,000 (management/NRI quota). Special category applicants pay an extra ₹100.

• Step 4: Enter academic and NEET details - Add your Class 10, 11, and 12 details (board, year, marks) and your NEET UG 2026 roll number, application number, and marks.

• Step 5: Upload documents - Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the format specified by the authorities.

• Step 6: Verify - Recheck every detail carefully, as no changes are allowed once submitted.

• Step 7: Submit and save - Submit the form and download a copy for future reference and counselling.

Tamil Nadu NEET 2026 Application: Documents Required

There are two sets of documents: files you upload online while filling out the form, and certificates you send as hard copies afterwards.

After submitting the online form, candidates must post a printed copy of the application along with the following documents to the authorities:

• Re NEET 2026 scorecard

• Class 10, 11, and 12 mark sheets

• Transfer certificate

• Nativity certificate (for those who studied partly outside Tamil Nadu)

• Parents' certificate (for those who studied Class 6–12 in Tamil Nadu)

• Proof of study from Class 6 to 12

• Permanent community certificate card

• Special category form with relevant certificates (for PwD, sports quota, and veterans)
