Know All About GUJCET 2023-24



GUJCET 2023 exam date is said to commence on March 31, 2023. If you are one among those who are aspiring to appear in the examination, check out the GUJCET 2023 eligibility criteria along with the important dates and terms of the examination that are discussed below. The application forms are already out since January 21, 2023, and if you still haven’t enrolled yourself as a candidate then register immediately as the last date for the application is February 10.


A Brief Outline of What GUJCET 2023 is All About

GUJCET stands for Gujarat Common Entrance Test which is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board. It is a state-level examination which is held for a maximum of 3 hours. It is an entrance examination that tests your skills and eligibility to crack admissions into institutes within the state offering degree courses like bachelor in technology (B. Tech) and pharmacy.


Although the application form and the GUJCET 2023 exam date are released online, yet it is an offline mode of examination. There are three mediums of languages, that is, English, Hindi and Gujarati, in which the exams are conducted. The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) is the main counselling conducting body that will take your interviews in an interactive session after you have qualified in the examination.


GUJCET Eligibility Criteria 2023

Here is a list stating the GUJCET 2023 eligibility criteria for those who are heading towards the council.

  • Firstly, the basic necessity of a candidate is his identity that states the candidate’s nationality. You can only appear for the GUJCET 2023 only if you are an Indian National.

  • Second is another important aspect of the state examination, that is, only the natives of Gujarat are eligible to appear for the examination. No other candidate who belongs to any other state can be a part of the examination. The council favours its residents even if they are residing in some other state. Therefore, if you are a bona fide resident of Gujarat, only then you will be able to participate in the GUJCET 2023.

  • Thirdly, candidates will also have to fulfil the academic requirements listed under the GUJCET terms and conditions of eligibility to appear in the examination. You should know that you can only appear for the examination if you have cleared class 12 from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar or CBSE Delhi or CISCE. You can also get a permit if you belong to New Delhi or NIOS and International School Board.

  • Lastly, the cut-off percentage for being eligible to participate in the examination is 45% of marks if you belong to the general category and if you are one among the reserved category then 40% is the requirement.

  

GUJCET 2023 Important Dates

We have mentioned it to you earlier that the application forms for registration and enrolment in the GUJCET 2023 was released on January 21, 2020, and the last date to fill up the application form along with the submission is extended till February 10, 2020. Therefore, if you are interested and eager to appear for the 2020 session then you have to hurry up as very less time is left.   • Admit card for the enrolled candidate will most probably be released by the first week of March 2020. You can download the admit card by visiting the official website of GUJCET. To download the admit card, all you have to do is click on the link and log in with your registration number and password.

  • The examination is to be held on March 31, 2020.

  • Following which, both the provisional and final answer key will be released. These answer keys are the marks obtained by you in the given examination.

  • The provisional answer key is said to be out by April 2020, whereas, the Final answer key would be updated by the first week of May 2020.

  • Results will be declared in the second week of May 2020.

  • And, lastly, the counselling session by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will begin by the last week of May 2020.


Procedure to Follow While Filling up the Application Form

You should pay heed to the steps involved to fill up the application form. This is because the process of filling up the application form should be carried out carefully so that there are no inconveniences caused in the future due to errors and mistakes in the form. Follow the steps listed below:

  • Firstly, registration is required. Register yourself as a user through the official website of GUJCET 2023. Enter your personal information and details relevantly. After that, enter your email address and generate the password for serving the security needs.

  • Secondly, you have to pay the application fee. A sum of rupees 300/- has to be paid as the fee. It has to be paid online either through SBI Epay System or by net banking. Payments can also be made by credit cards and debit cards.

  • Thirdly, fill up the application form with accurate details stating your data, your academic performance and your contact details. Here you will also have to select a centre for examination where you will be allotted a seat to appear for the examination.

  • Fourthly, you will be asked to upload documents. It will include a coloured and scanned copy of your photograph along with a scanned picture of your signature.

  • Lastly, review your application form and go through every detail that you have input. Click on the submit tab to generate your application number. Copy it down for future references as you will be requiring the application number to log in to the online portal of GUJCET 2023.
