31st July 2020, Delhi: The World Environment Day was celebrated in Global Public School with great enthusiasm. Students from classes 5-7 presented songs and dances on the topic while classes 8-12 presented dances, as well as street play on the topic. A month-long initiative to ban the use of plastic in the school was launched by the principal and the students contributed by adhering to the same. Award-winning environmentalists came for an educational panel discussion with the students from classes 9-12. Students from every class made paper bags from recycled paper and this was distributed amongst the staff and students. Stalls were set up in the campus and paper bags along with other items made by the students were sold to the public. It was an eventful day that culminated with an oath-taking ceremony that was taken by all the students and staff of the school.
