The ceremony began with the school song and national anthem which were sung by the senior choir. Our principal, Mrs. Kapoor felicitated the chief guest, Mr. Raj Sachdeva, head of the Police constable force of Dwarka. He presented a speech on the importance of ‘education and awareness’. The junior students presented a patriotic dance performance on our country, while the senior students presented a powerful skit on education and knowledge. After all the songs and dance performances, Mr. Sachdeva and our principal awarded the scholars and full attendance winners with a certificate and a medal. Mr. Sachdeva presented the topper of the school award to Shreya Sharma of XII-A. The function ended with a word of thanks by our principal. Overall, the prize distribution ceremony was expressive and entertaining.
Note: Keep in mind that a report is always written in the past tense form of the verb, as we are describing or reporting an event or an incident that has already taken place in the past.
