Hint:
-Kesari is a Marathi newspaper founded in 1881 by a prominent leader of the Indian independence movement at that time.
-Kesari is Sanskrit for Lion and the newspaper was used as a spokes piece for the national freedom movement of India.

Complete answer:
The editorial team of kesari included a number of freedom fighters, reformers and activists like – Agarkar, Chiplunkar and Tilak. The newspaper originally started as a cooperative between the three persons named above as editors.

However, the founder of the paper was Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak; he used to run two newspapers, namely – kesari in Marathi and Mahratta in English from kesari wada, Narayan peth, Pune. The newspaper ‘kesari’ was not established as a profit making venture but as a way to spread political education among the common people and played an important role in the national movement.

Lokmanya Tilak was born on $23^{rd}$ of July 1856 as Keshav Gangadhar Tilak; he is considered as the first leader of the Indian independence movement and was named “The father of the Indian unrest” by the British authorities. He was given the title ‘Lokmanya’ which means ‘accepted by the people’, he was also called the “the maker of modern India” by M.Gandhi.

Note:
-One of the editors – Agarkar left Kesari in 1887 and started his own newspaper named – sudharak, i.e. the reformer.
-In the present time we have an online Marathi newspaper called The Daily Kesari published and edited by Deepak Tilak, great grandson of the founder of the paper.
-The paper is also published by the help of the Kesari Maratha Trust along with the descendants.
