Hint: Rotation of the Earth means that the moves on its axis and revolution of the Earth means that on moving on its axis Earth moves forward in its orbit as well.
Complete answer:
Rotation of the Earth is responsible for the day and night to occur. Earth spins on its axis for all 24 hours.
Earth's axis is vertical , which means it runs up and down ; the axis runs from north pole to south pole. Earth takes around 24 hours to complete one rotation, which is one day. The face of the Earth which faces towards the sun has day and the side has night. Similarly , Earth reverses the spinning direction and day and night duration changes for different parts of the country. Sun affects weather of the Earth every day, sometimes rain, cloudy weather, windy and sunny weather.
Our blue planet Earth also moves around the sun along with rotation, which is called revolution. Revolution is different from rotation which causes seasons to occur on our Planet. Around the elliptical orbit when the Earth goes away from the sun while performing revolution, the winter season occurs and when the Earth comes closer to the sun , the summer season occurs.
Note: Not only Earth faces rotation but there are many other things which we observe in our day to day life which has rotation and revolution as well such as wheels of the vehicles, rotation made by Big wheel, ferries in fairs and amusement parks, mixers, blenders do the rotation.
