(i) The Island groups of India lying in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal: The Lakshadweep islands lie in the Arabian sea and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands lie in the Bay of Bengal.

(ii) The countries constituting the Indian Subcontinent:- These countries are India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.

(iii) The states through which the Tropic of Cancer passes:- These states are Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Tripura and Mizoram.

(iv) The northernmost Latitude in degrees:- The coordinates are 37°6’E. 

(v) The southernmost Latitude of the Indian mainland in degrees:- The coordinates are 8°4’E. 

(vi) The eastern and the westernmost Longitude in degrees:- The coordinates are 68°7’E and 97°25’E. 

(vii) The place situated on the three seas:- The place is Kanyakumari. 

(viii) The strait separating Sri Lanka from India:- It is the Palk Strait.
