There are three different types of latent heat energy are as follows:
1. Latent heat of fusion
2. Latent heat of vaporization
3. Latent heat of sublimation
The formula of latent heat is as follows:

$ Q $ is the amount of the substance.
$ M $ is the mass of the substance.
$ L $ is the latent heat energy. It can be latent heat of fusion or latent heat of vaporization. If latent heat of vaporization is given then we write $ {L_v} $ and in case of latent heat of fusion, we write $ {L_f} $ .
