IOQJS Eligibility Criteria

All students who aspire to take part in the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in the Junior Science exam are advised to go through the eligibility criteria for the same before registering for the exam. The eligibility criteria for IOQJS are listed below.

• Age: Aspiring students must be born between 1 January 2006 and 31 December 2007, all days inclusive.

• Academic Requirements: Students in the 10th grade or lower are eligible for IOQJS. They must have been studying in India since 30 November 2024, or earlier. Students must not have passed the 10th board exams, or any equivalent exam before November 30, 2024. Also, those studying in an Indian schooling system since November 2024 or before are eligible to appear for IOQJS.

• Citizenship: Students aspiring to take part in IOQJS must hold or be eligible to hold Indian passports. They must be residents of India since November 2024 or earlier. As per the verdict of the Madras High Court, the Overseas Citizens of India will not be eligible to be a part of the team representing our country at the International Olympiads.

• Students aspiring to appear for IOQJS must not register for IOQP, IOQA, IOQC, or IOQB in the same year.

It is highly advised that all students who are planning to take the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Junior Science, must be thorough with the above-mentioned eligibility criteria. Otherwise, any kind of discrepancy will lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
