Javed Hasan (Manipur, Rank 7,105)
H Malsawmdawngzuala (Mizoram, ST, Rank 11,875)
Bakhambok Anthony Thabah (Meghalaya, ST, Rank 14,455)
Richa Subba (Sikkim, ST, Rank 14,777)
Subhasmita Nayak (Nagaland, Rank 42,124)
Why State Toppers Matter More Than National Rank?
A state topper's AIR can look modest beside AIR 1, but in regions with limited coaching access and tiny candidate pools, it represents disproportionately higher achievement
Lakshadweep's 43 total qualifiers versus UP's 1.7 lakh puts this in perspective. State toppers also signal where state-quota cutoffs will land, making this list practically useful, not just inspirational.
