Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026: Why Kerala Has No Separate NEET Counselling Form?

Kerala NEET UG counselling 2026 is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH (BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS) and B.Sc. Nursing seats across government and private colleges in the state.

Kerala NEET UG counselling 2026

Kerala works differently from every other state, and this is the single thing candidates get wrong. There is no standalone "NEET counselling form" here. Admission runs entirely through the KEAM application, the same application used for engineering and pharmacy admissions. If you did not submit the KEAM application, your Re NEET 2026 score is irrelevant in Kerala, however high it is.

This year's counselling runs on Re NEET 2026 scores, since the original NEET UG exam of May 3, 2026 was cancelled over paper leak allegations and re-conducted on June 21, 2026.

Who is Eligible for Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026?

Kerala splits applicants into three categories, and which one you fall into decides which colleges you can even compete for. Get this wrong and you will apply for seats you were never eligible to hold.

Basic Requirements For Everyone:

  • Indian citizenship (PIO and OCI candidates are eligible but cannot claim reservations)

  • Qualified Re NEET 2026 with the prescribed cutoff percentile

  • Completed online registration on the CEE Kerala portal

The Three Candidate Categories:

Category

Who Qualifies

What They Can Apply For

Keralite

Kerala domicile holders, or children of All India Service officers posted in Kerala

All seats, including government colleges and all reservation benefits

Non-Keralite Category I (NK-I)

Candidates who studied in Kerala, or meet special conditions such as parents in government service or residency criteria

State merit seats, but without communal or special reservation

Non-Keralite Category II (NK-II)

All other candidates from outside Kerala

Only private medical and dental colleges under Management or NRI quota

The practical takeaway: a non-Kerala candidate cannot touch a Kerala government MBBS seat through state counselling. NK-II candidates are restricted to management and NRI quota seats in private colleges only.

Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026 Reservation Criteria

Kerala's reservation structure is distinctive because of its large SEBC block, which is subdivided into community-specific quotas.

Category

Reservation

State Merit

60%

SEBC Total

30% (includes EZ, MU, BH, LA, DV, VK, KN, BX, KU sub-categories)

Scheduled Caste (SC)

8%

Scheduled Tribe (ST)

2%

Note the 30% SEBC pool is not a single queue. It is broken into distinct communal categories, each with its own allocation and its own closing rank. Candidates claiming SEBC must select the correct sub-category and hold the matching community certificate.

Re NEET 2026 Qualifying Cutoff for Kerala Counselling

Before any Kerala seat is possible, you must clear the national qualifying percentile.

Category

Percentile

Qualifying Score Range (Reference)

UR / EWS

50th

686 to 144

OBC / SC / ST

40th

143 to 113

UR / EWS-PwD

45th

143 to 127

OBC / SC / ST-PwD

40th

126 to 113

Clearing this only makes you eligible to enter the CEE merit list. The actual admission cutoff at a Kerala government medical college sits far higher.

How to Complete Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026 Registration?

Kerala NEET UG counselling 2026 registration is done on the CEE Kerala portal through the KEAM application. Follow these steps.

Step 1: Open the official portal, cee.kerala.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on "KEAM Online Application 2026" and begin registration.

Step 3: Fill in your personal, academic and NEET details accurately.

Step 4: Upload your documents to the exact specifications:

  • Photograph: 150 x 200 px, 15 KB to 100 KB

  • Signature: 150 x 100 px, 10 KB to 100 KB

Step 5: Pay the application fee online.

Category

Scheduled Caste (SC)

₹250

Scheduled Tribe (ST)

CEE typically reopens the registration window for a short period after the NEET result, allowing candidates to edit or add category and quota details, including NRI and Minority quota claims. Watch for that window, as it is often the last chance to correct a category error.

KEAM Plus Two Mark Adding 2026: The Step Most Candidates Miss

After your Class 12 results are published, you must add your plus two marks to the KEAM candidate portal. This is a separate action from the initial application, and CEE sets a hard last date for it.

Miss the KEAM plus two mark adding deadline and your candidature can be treated as incomplete, which knocks you out of the merit list regardless of your Re NEET score. Log in to the candidate portal, enter your Class 12 marks exactly as printed on the marksheet, verify, and save the confirmation.

Keep checking cee.kerala.gov.in for the announced KEAM plus two mark adding 2026 last date, since CEE occasionally extends it by a few days but never reopens it afterwards.

NEET Score Submission to the CEE Kerala Portal

Here is another Kerala-only step. After the Re NEET 2026 result is declared, you must submit your NEET score to the CEE portal yourself. CEE does not pull it automatically.

  • Log in to the KEAM candidate portal

  • Click on "NEET Result Submission"

  • Enter your NEET roll number, application number and date of birth

  • Verify and confirm the details displayed

  • Download and save the submission receipt

Without this submission, your name will not appear in the Kerala NEET merit list even if you registered and paid.

Kerala NEET Merit List 2026

CEE Kerala publishes the State Merit List online once registrations close and NEET scores are submitted. It contains:

  • Candidate's name

  • Re NEET 2026 score

  • All India Rank

  • Kerala state rank

Only candidates whose names appear in the Kerala NEET merit list 2026 can proceed to option registration and seat allotment. Separate rank lists are prepared for the different categories and quotas, so check the list corresponding to your claimed category.

Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026 Process

1. Option Registration

  • Log in to the candidate portal on cee.kerala.gov.in

  • Select "Option Registration"

  • Add your preferred colleges and courses in order of priority

  • Pay the option registration fee of ₹5,000, which is a refundable deposit

Order your options carefully. The CAP system allots your highest available preference, so a poorly ordered list quietly costs you a better college.

2. Centralised Allotment Process (CAP)

Seats are allotted round by round on the basis of your state rank, your registered options, and the applicable reservation. Each round's allotment result is published online on the CEE portal.

3. Seat Confirmation and Reporting

  • Download the Allotment Memo from the portal

  • Report to the allotted college with all original documents

  • Pay the fees and complete admission formalities

Documents Required for Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026

Carry the originals plus self-attested copies at the time of reporting:

  • Nativity proof (essential for Keralite category claims)

  • Re NEET 2026 admit card and scorecard

  • Class 10 marksheet or birth certificate

  • Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate

  • Transfer certificate

  • Migration certificate (if applicable)

  • Caste or community certificate (if claiming SEBC, SC or ST)

  • PwD certificate (if applicable)

  • Allotment memo downloaded from the CEE portal

  • Option registration fee payment receipt
