The JIPMER UG exam for MBBS admissions will be conducted online by JIPMER. On the official website, jipmer.edu.in, the official JIPMER exam pattern will be released along with the JIPMER application form information brochure. The JIPMER 2025 exam will last two and a half hours, and aspirants should be aware that there will be no break in between. Due to a large number of applicants for JIPMER, the exam will be held in two shifts: morning and afternoon.

3. What is the Marking Scheme of JIPMER 2025?

Some of the important points related to the JIPMER marking scheme is as follows:

  • One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.

  • There will be no deductions or bonuses for any questions that are not attempted. There will be no points awarded for any questions that are not attempted.

  • The raw score will be used to calculate the percentile score.

  • The percentile score will be used to determine eligibility criteria based on the cut-off score and to prepare for merit rank preparation.

  • Minimum eligibility marks for the MBBS entrance examination will be 50% in aggregate for general category candidates and 40% in aggregate for reserved category candidates such as SC/ST candidates.

4. What are the eligibility criteria to apply for the  JIPMER test?

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen. Overseas citizens may also apply if they have proof of registration as an OCI. In addition, FN candidates may apply with the permission of MCI candidates.

  • The applicant's minimum age at the time of application should be 17 years old. There is no restriction on the maximum age.

  • The candidate must have obtained a 10+2 diploma from a recognised board or university to be considered. Candidates who are non-resident Indians or citizens of other countries will receive an eligibility certificate from the Association of Indian Universities in New Delhi.

  • Candidates must have received a minimum of 50% in their 12th grade (40 per cent in the case of ST/SC/OBC/OPH and 45 per cent in the case of the general OPH). Each subject must be qualified for separately by the candidate.

  • At the 12th grade level, candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, as well as one subject of their choice.
