List of International Award Received by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi

Mr Narendra Modi is the current Prime Minister of India. He is the first Prime Minister of India who is not from the Indian National Congress and won two consecutive terms with a full majority. Narendra Modi was born on 17th September 1950 in Gujarat. He worked as Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014. During the period when he was CM of Gujrat became one of the most prosperous states of India. He is a Member of Parliament from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The Modi Government has taken many incentives for the country such as Made in India, Digital India and the Clean India Mission etc. He is a dynamic leader. He has the character that can influence the world by his leadership that is why the whole world pays attention to all the events which are attended by PM Modi. He achieved healthy relationships with other nations. Narendra Modi was awarded many national and international awards. 1. Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud

The highest civilian award of Saudi Arabia is the Collar of the Order of Abdul Aziz Al Saud. The highest honour Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud award was conferred to Modi on 3 April 2016. Abdulaziz Al Saud was the founder of the modern Saudi State, hence this award is named after him to give him honour.

2. State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan

The highest civilian award of Afghanistan is the State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan Award. The award is named after Amanullah Khan to remember his efforts, ruler of Afghanistan and who championed the cause of Afghanistan's freedom. Prime Minister Modi became the Eighth recipient of this award. Narendra Modi was awarded on 4 June 2016. This award was also given to former President of the United States of America  George W. Bush, Indonesian President Joko Widodo and NATO General James Jones.

3. Grand Collar of the State of Palestine Award

The Grand Collar of the State of Palestine Award is the highest honour of Palestine that is awarded to foreign dignitaries, national or international leaders, kings, heads of state or government and persons of similar rank. Indian PM Modi was awarded this and became the fourth recipient of this honourable award. This award was received by King Salman of Saudi Arabia in 2015, President Xi Jinping of China in 2017, King Hamad of Bahrain in 2017, and Prime Minister of India on 10 February 2018.

4. Order of Zayed Award

The highest civilian honour given by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the Order of Zayed Award. The award is named after the first president of the United Arab Emirates, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.  PM Modi became the 17th person who received this award. He is the first Indian to get the Order of Zayed Award. Other famous recipients of this award are President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping (President of China) and Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom.

5. Order of St. Andrew award

The highest civilian honour of Russia is the Order of St. Andrew award. The award was established in honour of Saint Andres in the year 1698. This is awarded to international leaders, famous public figures, representatives of science, culture, arts and different industries for their exceptional services. It is given to promote the prosperity and glory of Russia. It is also awarded to foreign heads of states for their outstanding service to the Russian Federation. Narendra Modi is the first Indian to receive this award.

6. Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddin

The highest honour of the Maldives is the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddin. It is awarded to foreign dignitaries. PM  Modi was awarded on 8 June 2019 and he is the 7th recipient of this award. The other recipients of this award are Prince Philip and the Duke of Edinburgh.

7. King Hamad Order of the Renaissance

Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi was honoured with the King Hamad Order of the Renaissance which is the third-highest civilian award of Bahrain. The award is named after King Hamad as it was founded by King Hamad II on 17 April 2008. It is given for the services of the country and foreign leaders.

Other International Awards and Recognitions received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

PM Modi received many international awards from international organizations and several magazines placed him on the list of powerful leaders. Some of the recognitions award conferred to Modi is given below.

• Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi was honoured with the United Nation’s highest environmental award called ‘Champions of the Earth’. He received this award jointly with Emmanuel Macron, the president of France in October 2018. The Champions of the Earth award was given for the policies of leadership and their pioneering work in maintaining the International Solar Alliance and promoting new areas of cooperation on environmental action. The award was given to Emmanuel Macron for his appreciable work on the Global Pact for the Environment and the unprecedented pledge of Narendra Modi to eliminate all single-use plastic in India by 2022 was greatly appreciated and they were awarded.

• The Seoul Peace Prize in 2018 was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This award was given for his efforts to international cooperation and fostering global economic growth. He is the first Indian to win the Seoul Peace Prize.

• PM Modi received the Global Goalkeeper Award. This award was awarded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation award for the 'Swachh Bharat campaign or the Clean India Mission' in the Month of September 2019. The Clean India Mission was started by Narendra Modi in 2014.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi was named one of ‘100 Most Influential People in the World by Time magazine in the years 2014, 2015 and 2017. He was declared the winner of the poll of readers by Time magazine of the Year in 2014 and 2016.

• He was ranked 15th Most Powerful Person in the World in 2014 and again in 2015, 2016 and 2017 he took a place in the 9th Most Powerful Person by Forbes magazine.

• Bloomberg Markets Magazine ranked him in the 13th Most Influential Person in the World in 2015. Prime Minister Modi was ranked fifth on the first annual list of the “World’s Greatest Leaders”  of Fortune Magazine in 2015.

• A wax statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was set at Madame Tussaud Wax Museum in London.

• Gallup International Association in 2017 organised a poll to find the top leaders of the world and ranked PM Modi as the third top leader of the world.
