Complete step by step answer:
Composition focuses on the way a writer constructs a piece of writing.
Let’s begin with our composition:
It had been raining heavily since last night. The sky was filled with tremendous lightning and deafening thunder. The roads and streets were flooded and all the tiny water animals were swimming in it. When I woke up in the morning, the sky was silent and calm. But the roads had been completely submerged in water. I quickly got up and started preparing for school. I was wearing a raincoat and gumboots to keep my school uniform from getting wet. My father decided to drop me to the school, as the streets were completely flooded. On our way, we encountered numerous traffic jams and there was chaos everywhere. Thankfully, I reached on time and ran inside the school.
As I reached inside the school, a teacher of mine informed me that the school had declared a holiday because of the heavy rains. I was scared yet happy at the same time. My teacher called my father and asked him to pick me from school. As I waited for my father to pick me, I looked outside and saw other children reaching the school completely drenched in water. Many people slipped on the muddy roads and hurt themselves, while others were enjoying the smell of the Earth. I saw some poor children having the time of their lives, as they jumped around in the mud. After waiting for half an hour, my father finally reached the school and took me home. My father’s car got stuck in a pothole and we had to step into the pool of water to push the car. After reaching home, my mother quickly changed my clothes and prepared some crispy snacks and hot milk to keep me warm. I was very happy, as even my father took leave from work. Both my mother and father played games and watched cartoons with me. Later, we read a book and I fell asleep.
It was one of the best yet exhilarating days of my life. I got to spend the entire day with my parents and I even ate yummy snacks. I was so happy after knowing that my school was closed. I wish it would rain each and every day so that I can stay at home with my parents.
Note: You need to focus on the topic from the narrator’s point of view. Hence, you can write from your own experience.
