The requirement to provide complete category details in the JEE Main application form is posing significant challenges for OBC and EWS candidates. Unlike previous years, where only basic category information was sufficient, applicants now need a full certificate to apply, which is causing delays for those who have not obtained one yet.
Many candidates have sought help from the NTA, but have not received adequate responses, leaving them unable to move forward with their applications. The process of acquiring a category certificate also involves lengthy formalities, which adds to the delays. In this context, the NTA should consider offering flexibility for these students as in past years or explore alternative solutions to help them meet the application deadline.
This year, candidates must also provide their Aadhaar number for identity verification when filling out the JEE Main 2025 application. If a candidate enters the Aadhaar number incorrectly, even if their name is correct, or vice versa, the application cannot be completed. Therefore, applicants should ensure that the name and date of birth on their Aadhaar card match those on their Class 10 and 12 mark sheets to avoid complications during the application process.
