Exams for both Class 10 and 12 will commence on November 15th. The first exam for Class 10 is English, while the last paper is either Economics or Portuguese, depending on their Group II selection. The first semester examinations for Class 10 will end on December 6, with most subjects lasting one hour. This includes the amount of time allotted for reading the question paper.
Crispin Maria, principal of Sacred Heart Convent School in Sector 39, Ludhiana, informed the students that the date sheet was available on the council's official website. In addition, the principal stated that, in light of the pandemic, the council had already implemented a modified examination method last month.
She reportedly said: “The semester 1 exams will be conducted in November and semester 2 exams will be held in March/April 2022. The semester -1 papers will be MCQ-based. Sample papers for the same are already available on the portal.”
This year, the CISCE will hold board examinations twice. It has also reduced the overall syllabus for the school year 2021-22, splitting the workload into two semesters. A paper pattern of Multiple Choice Questions will be used in the first semester (MCQs). The ISC paper will be worth 70 points, whereas the ICSE paper will be worth 80 points. The exam results will be based on both semesters' grades.
