The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the results for ICSE ISC Class 10th and 12th, on May 6. The exams concluded on March 28 for Class 10 and April 3 for Class 12.
The ICSE exam was held for 60 written subjects, including 20 Indian languages, 13 foreign languages, and 1 classical language.
Students can check their results on cisce.org or results.cisce.org.
In a significant update, CISCE Chief Executive Joseph Emmanuel announced the discontinuation of compartment examinations for ICSE and ISC from 2024 onwards.
Compartment examinations are supplementary exams conducted by educational boards for students who were unable to pass one or more subjects in their main board exams. These exams provide students with another opportunity to clear the subjects they failed without having to repeat the entire academic year.
Students can check their results on the official website of CISCE by entering their login credentials, Unique ID, and the Index Number mentioned on the hall ticket.

Select your course code as ICSE/ISC.
Enter your login credentials like Unique ID, Index Number, and Captcha.
Click on submit.
The result will be displayed on the screen. Cross-check all the details.
Download the result and take a print for future reference.

Click the ISC (Class-XII) button.
Enter the Index Number and the Date of Birth.
Click on submit.
The result will be displayed on your screen.
Again in 2024 Girls have outperformed boys in both classes.
ICSE: Girls' pass percentage is 99.65% compared to Boys who have achieved a pass percentage of 99.31%.
ISC: Girls have achieved a pass percentage of 98.92% while Boys have achieved a pass percentage of 97.53%
Whereas In 2023, the pass percentage for Class 10 was 98.94 percent, while for Class 12, it was 96.93 percent.
Girls outperformed boys in both Class 10 and Class 12 exams.
For Class 10, the pass percentage for girls was 99.21 percent, compared to 98.71 percent for boys.
In Class 12, the pass percentage for girls was 98.01 percent, while for boys, it was 95.96 percent.

After ICSE and ISC results are announced, students who are not happy with their results can apply for re-checking. This can be done through the board website or through the school. Candidates, who wish to improve their marks/grades in the same year of the examinations, can take improvement examinations in a maximum of two subjects. The improvement examination will be conducted in July 2024.
