Leh District (Ladakh)

The Leh district of Ladakh is considered to be the second largest district in India in terms of territorial area after the Kutch District of Gujarat. It has an area of 45110 kilometres square, making it on the list of the 10 largest districts of India by territorial area. The entire Ladakh has now become a union territory of India. Jaisalmer District (Rajasthan)

After Leh, Jaisalmer takes the position of the third largest district in the country with a territorial area of 38,401 kilometres square. It is also the largest district in the state of Rajasthan in terms of area but is equally considered to be the least populous district consisting of only 6.7 lakhs population. The Jaisalmer city is located in the great Indian desert, commonly known as the Thar Desert. Bikaner District (Rajasthan)

The district of Bikaner is the second largest district in the state of Rajasthan in terms of area. Jodhpur District (Rajasthan)

Anantapur District (Andhra Pradesh)

The Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh having a territorial area of 19,130 kilometres square is the largest district in the state. This district of Andhra Pradesh is bounded by Kurnool and is also famous for the Lepakshi temple due to its Vijayanagara architectural style. 

Nagaur District ( Rajasthan)

Out of the 33 districts of Rajasthan, the Nagaur District is the fifth largest one in terms of territorial area. It is even considered one of the top 10 largest districts of India and has an area of 17,718 kilometres square. The district of Nagaur is located in the Marwar region of Rajasthan and is also home to the largest saltwater lake in India, i.e., the Sambhar Lake.

Kurnool District (Andhra Pradesh)

The Kurnool district is the second largest district of Andhra Pradesh and has an area of 17,658 kilometres square. The district is also known as The Gateway of Rayalaseema and is surrounded by the Mahabubnagar district of Telangana. Prakasam District (Andhra Pradesh)

Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, also known as the Ongole district lies in the Coastal Andhra region and is the 3rd largest district of the state. Prakasam has an area of 17,626 kilometres square. The district is surrounded by the Bay of Bengal and is also famous for the BhairavaKona Caves.
