Q1: What will be the remainder when 1010 . (1010+1) . (1010+2) is divided by 6?

Options: 

  1. 2

  2. 4

  3. 6

  4. 0

Objective Answer: (d)


Solution: Starting with 1010

Rem \[(\frac{10^{10}}{6}) = 4^{10}\]

\[\Rightarrow Rem  \frac{10^{10} . (10^{10} + 1) . (10^{10} + 2)}{6} = Rem (\frac{4^{10} \times (4^{10} + 1) \times (4^{10} + 2)}{6})\]

Now, looking at the cyclicity of \[\frac{4^{n}}{6}\]:

Rem \[(\frac{4^{1}}{6})\] = Rem \[(\frac{4^{2}}{6})\] =.....= Rem \[(\frac{4^{n}}{6})\] = 1

So, \[Rem (\frac{4^{10} \times (4^{10} + 1) \times (4^{10} + 2)}{6}) = Rem (\frac{1 \times (1 + 1) \times (1 + 2)}{6}) = Rem (\frac{6}{6}) = 0\]


Q2: A regular graph has 15 vertices, and the sum of their degree is 60. Find the degree of each vertex.

  1. 5

  2. 4

  3. 2

  4. 3

Objective Answer: (b)


Solution: We are given with no of vertices, V = 15, and Sum (S) = 60

Let the degree of each vertex = x

So, V *  x = S 15 * x = 60

Or, x = 4
